What does an American Standard Typing Certificate include?
Your certificate displays your Full Name, Net Words Per Minute (WPM), Typing Accuracy % and the date of completion from your 5‑minute Main Test. It comes as a three-page PDF with a performance transcript and a proctoring summary, plus its own verification link and QR code for employers.

How soon will I receive my sign-in details after purchase?
Right after purchase you'll receive an order confirmation email with your receipt. Your Welcome Email with your sign-in details follows within minutes, any time of day, with no password needed. Can't see it after 5 minutes? Check your spam or junk folder. If it hasn't arrived after 15 minutes, email us with your order number.

What is included in each Typing Certificate Pack?
Every pack includes unlimited Practice Tests and Main Test subscriptions. The Standard Pack has three and our best value Super Pack has six. Each subscription is one attempt at your 5‑minute Main Test and each Main Test issues its own accredited certificate. Need another attempt later? Add a Top‑Up for one more Main Test subscription, using the same email address as your account. Your Main Test subscriptions don't expire.

What name appears on my certificate?
Your certificate shows the name you enter in the Student Full Name field at checkout, exactly as you type it, so please use your full legal name. One email address is one candidate: later purchases on the same email address are added to the same account and keep your name as it is. Buying for someone else? Use their email address. Need your name corrected? Email us and we'll update your account.

Do I need a webcam?
A webcam is recommended but not required. With Automated Certified Proctoring (ACP), still snapshots are taken at the start, midpoint and end of your Main Test, with your consent. You can decline and your typing result is unaffected. Your certificate and its verification page show how many snapshots were captured. There's no video or audio recording.

How do employers check my certificate?
Every certificate has its own verification link and QR code. Share your certificate PDF or verification link and employers can confirm your result online, with no account needed. Certificates reflect results at the time of assessment. Most employers consider typing certificates valid for 12 months.

Are the certificates accepted by U.S. employers?
Our certificates are designed as evidence of typing speed and accuracy for formal U.S. job applications, resumes and professional cover letters. Acceptance is up to each employer and some run their own typing test during hiring, so check the job listing if you're unsure what's required.

What are the typing standards required for U.S. job applications?
While requirements vary, many entry-level administrative roles expect a minimum typing speed of 40 to 60 WPM with an accuracy of 95% or higher. Check the job listing for what's required and use your unlimited Practice Tests to improve before your Main Test!
